You're The CEO: Seize The Day!

Don't believe the hype! I know a lot of people have fallen for the misconception that in order to be a CEO you have to be running a multi-million dollar corporation, or you even have to be in business at all. Yes, the technical definition for a CEO is the highest-ranking position in a company or organization, but the truth of the matter is that we are all CEO's. Especially once we reach the golden age of 18. We are the CEO's of our lives! Who holds the highest-ranking position in your life? It should be you! And if you're not.....we've got some work to do.

Carpe Diem is one of my favorite sayings. Carpe diem is a Latin aphorism, usually translated "seize the day", taken from book 1 of the Roman poet Horace's work Odes (23 BC). (Thanks Wiki). Merriam-Webster defines it as-- the enjoyment of the pleasures of the moment without concern for the future. I define it as, YOLO, LIVE, ENJOY, MAKE THE BEST OF TODAY!

Remember, when deciding to be the CEO. It doesn’t matter if you are a fulltime entrepreneur or a full-time employee. It doesn’t even matter if you’re unemployed or underemployed. You run the show of you! So run it boo! #BossUp

P.S. This pic is a fav from a photoshoot with my good friend Valerie of Photography by Valerie. I love it because it pretty much sums up my personality and persona. Classy, poised, and sophisticated with a splash of urban and a sprinkle or ratchet #NoJudgement :-)

Life is good! Let’s enjoy it.
